How do I setup/receive television signals in the basement?

The main television is located on ground level with the cable only operating for that television. Is it possible to receive the same programs if I set up a second television, i.e. reroute the signals? Or if this is not possible, how do I setup an antenna in order to receive the bare minimum?

coax cable splitter - 2 way plus additional section(s) of Coax cable

take the cable that is now going to the TV #1 and put it into the splitter. On the other side of the splitter is 2 taps. Connect a cable from 1 of the taps back to TV #1

Then run coax cable - RG6 typically, from the splitter 2nd port to Television #2

I suggest you measure and get a few extra feet. This should allow you to watch the same channels on both TV sets
