Could someone please offer some examples of disabled people in Commercial television?

I am doing a presentation in Media studies at A level on "Representations of disabled people in commercial television" and need to find some examples of disability in commercial television. I really need as many examples of characters who are disabled, programs with disabled characters and programs made for disabled people. Any additional info on the programs (i.e. time/date/channel) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Dr. House on HOUSE

Dr. Kerry Weaver on ER

Chief of Detectives Robert T. Ironside on IRONSIDE

Monk on MONK has OCD

this website has lots of details on what you are looking for

I feel like people with disabilities aren't very well-represented on TV. The first two things that came to mind are Stevie on Malcom in the Middle (Malcom's wheelchair-bound asthmatic genius friend), and the episode of Saved by the Bell where Zack starts dating a girl in a wheelchair and is over-sensitive to her disability which creates conflict.

There used to be a Television program called "Life Goes On" that had a character named Charles "Corky" Thacher. The actor who played "Corkey" is Chris Burke who has Down Syndrome.

Try some children's shows. I know Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood had a couple episode's where he had a girl in a wheel chair on the show. I think that Arthur has a teacher with a disability.

House. this doctor has a addiction to medication and there is something terribly wrong with his leg and he walks with a cane.
