How do you connect a computer to a television monitor?

I would like to hook my desktop to a wall-mounted television in a classroom that I teach in. What do I need to do to get the display to appear on the TV (and simultaneously on the computer monitor)?

Remember that TVs don't have resolution as good of that of computer monitors, so your display won't be nearly as clear.

The S-video thing should work.

S-video if I recall for laptops. Or something that costs a drop more. Ask Radio Shack.

You need to get a TV card for the computer.
