What is the difference between journalism and studio television?

ima be taking a summer program at a university and my application asks whether i want to be in journalism or studio television. thing is: i want to be in broadcast journalism. so, what should i check?

Journalism is to Studio Television as Newspapers are to Magazines.

okay well journalism is like magazines and like newspapers and basically writing stories about something like for example: a journalist is going to write a story on Chris Brown. So then they write a story on how Chris Brown goes to the mall (example) or something. Well they write that for say People magazine. So then in like the May issue there is a story on Chris Brown goes to the mall.( this is just an example!) Then there is Studio Television which is basically almost a news person. So then you basically are taking the journalists story and just saying it on national television. So if you want to be someone that tells the stories on T.V then check studio television and if you want to write the stories that other people say, then check journalism.
