How do I connect my computer to my television?

My computer is a dell dimension 8400 and my television is a recent toshiba. My computer is old and doesn't have an available VGA slot. I've tried an S-Video cord but the S-video input has 4 pins on the television and 7 pins on the back of my tower. Any ideas?

The only thing you can do is try to find an adapter for the S-Video or try the RCA jack, baring that you may need a new TV to satisfy your needs.

get yourself a 7pin to 4pin s video adapter!

Have you googled 4 to 7 pin S-Video adapter? Honestly you should perhaps look into getting a new video card with dvi if you plan on doing this a lot. At least one that has 2 video outputs.
