How do you reset your television to direct cable from cable box setting?

I just disconnected my cable box and connected the input cable directly into the television. Now I need to control it with the regular tv remote, but all I get is three choices, "line", "Ch 3" and "Ch 4"...no ability to access the other basic cable choices. (I don't want to call the cable company because they will ask me to pay my bill).

Look on remote or front of TV for a button labeled menu or setup

If you get into the menu choose setup

Tuner choices will be antenna or cable make sure it is cable (CATV) if there is more than one choice for cable/CATV choose STD for standard cable.

Once that is done you should find a choice for "autotune" or search this will allow your TV to hunt down channels that have a strong signal and enter them in the TV's memory.
