How to use my television as a laptop monitor?

Well I signed up for Netflix which allows me to view movies online, but i would like to connect my laptop to my tv, so i can view them with my television (bigger screen). How do i do that? do i need to buy something else? how much does it cost?

well it depends on your Laptop and what inputs it has and what inputs your tv has (apart from the 4xAV Inputs for Widescreen or 2XAV Inputs for CTR TVs) if your tv and Laptop have a RGB Input you must have a RGB Input and im sorry i don't know how much it. If your tv doesn't have a RGB Input there's always S-Video you can connect it by or there's always HDMI (depending on what tv you have)

And theres also VGA inputs

i hope this helps and you have a nice time watching your online movies

VGA - If you have a HDTV, then you will be better off connecting using a VGA cable. It gives much better quality than S-Video and as with S-Video, the cable is very cheap. You usually won’t find a VGA port on regular TV’s though, so this option is if you have an HDTV.

I would go to an electronics store and ask for a "S cable". They can probably explain how to hook it up.
