What cultural values do you suppose television reflected during the 1950s? What cultural values does television programming reflect today?

in earlier years tv portrayed families together solving problems loving fathers and mothers and ideal homelife. children listen to parents, went to school, had respect for their neighbors, and each other, today, tv teaches violence, drugs, disrespect for parents, children and kill anyone that you don't like. mutilate your body, see how much you can drink, hate god. and hate anything else that is good and right. it has become so common people think you are strange if you don't go along with all the things that go on today. they have become immuned to any moral behavior. and try to excuse it all. and it is only going to get worse unless people come to their senses. tv and video games are all geared toward violence. news reports are reporting record high killing, drugs, alternative lifestyles. we are becoming a world of animals with no mind of our own. when i was young, we had the ten commandments in school, prayer in school, and respect for our teachers, and i am still sane, go to church and believe in treating my fellowman like i want to be treated. tv tries to report all the bad stuff. they wouldn't have any attention if they cleaned it up. you have to look to find anything good to watch, by the way i am older than the 50's.
