What ports/cables are needed to use a television as a computer monitor?

Hi. I'm planning to buy a new television soon and need to do some research. I would really like to use a moderately sized television in the price range of $250-750 as my computer monitor also. But, before I purchase anything I need to know what ports I will need on both the computer and television. Please fire away. =]

Probably an S-Video input on the TV and S-Video out on your video card would do. Or if your video card has it, RCA Video outputs.

You can buy a video card for about $35 that will have a coax out to TV. No big deal. AVI was the brand I bought.

MicroCenter Mall

Ask the dealer if the TV support PC. or TV with vga port.
